Grant County Treasurer Fox presented tax collection figures on Aug. 14 and announced a property tax auction scheduled for Sept. 10 in the Commission Meeting Room.
For July the treasurer reported $269,502.23 in taxes collected. For total taxes across rolls as of July 31, 2025, the treasurer reported a 95.88% collection rate and an uncollected balance of $5,219,741.26.
The property auction will be held Sept. 10 at 10 a.m.; registration will open at 8 a.m. in the Commission Meeting Room. Treasurer Fox said the auction packet will be sold for $5 and contains property details and a QR code with maps and logistics. The treasurer and property tax division will publish the auction list at least three times before the sale.
Commissioner Stevens asked how the treasurer’s office pursues delinquencies; Treasurer Fox described outreach efforts, postcards and a focus on manufactured homes and properties moved without county notification. He said the auction and additional notices spur collections.
