Lewis County obligates federal construction funding paperwork for Sears Hill Bridge project

On Sept. 2, 2025, Lewis County commissioners approved a resolution authorizing signatures on a local agency agreement and a federal-aid prospectus to obligate construction funds for the Sears Hill Bridge project. Jeff Zarquist, Lewis County public works director, presented the item and said the signatures are required to obligate federal construction funds for the project. The board approved the action 3-0 as part of the package of deliberation items. The county did not provide a construction-cost total or funding split during the Sept. 2 public deliberation.
