Andrew Bowen of Jacoby Toombs and Lands / Prime AE gave the Sellersburg Town Council four water-project updates and three wastewater updates and said some tasks are on the project critical path.
On the Sunflower Valley Water Project, Bowen said the town is ready to go to bid once all easements are acquired. He reported 14 of 24 permanent easements and 28 of 33 rights-of-entry have been obtained and said the consultant is working with the Indiana Finance Authority (IFA), Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and local stakeholders to finish the remaining agreements.
On the Lehi service line inventory, Bowen said all water meters identified for in-person inspection have been inspected and "no lead has been found." Bowen said a report with a few minor issues will be submitted within about two weeks.
Bowen also updated the council on the INDOT 31 West utility relocation, saying a reconstruction conference is scheduled and that the lowest bid from a contractor totaled $1,150,000. He said contract documents are prepared for town signature but that no motion was required at the meeting.
On wastewater, Bowen reported coordination with the redevelopment commission on easement acquisition for a town center sewer extension, described the Ivy Tech pump station No. 2 elimination as advancing with contractor shop drawings under review, and said the Sellersburg drinking water preliminary engineering report (PER) and asset management plan (AMP) coordination is ongoing with Baker Tilly.
Council members volunteered to assist with property easement outreach in a limited role; Bowen said easement acquisition is critical path for some funding. There were no votes on project awards at the meeting.
