Sellersburg announces fall clean week Oct. 6–11; weekly yard-waste pickup to begin Oct. 13

The town scheduled a fall clean-up (dumpster) week Oct. 6–11, weekly yard-waste pickup beginning Oct. 13 through mid-December, and several community events including a Brass Rabbit market Oct. 4; a preconstruction meeting for utility relocations was also announced.
Sellersburg town staff and council members announced the schedule for several fall services and events during the meeting.
Fall clean week (town dumpsters) is scheduled Oct. 6–11 at the usual locations, and weekly yard-waste collection will begin the week of Oct. 13 and run through roughly the week of Dec. 14, staff said. The town also plans a Brass Rabbit market on Oct. 4 and is still finalizing another concert and benefit scheduled for Sept. 22 at Wilkerson Park; one of the planned hosts was injured and the event status remained pending.
Town staff invited interested parties to a preconstruction meeting for utility relocations and reminded residents of local events such as the Cedar Creek High School homecoming parade Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Staff also noted an open house with Solisberg Elementary School on Sept. 20 at 9 a.m.
There was no council vote on the schedule; council members thanked town employees for their work on collections and other services.
