Commissioners notified of four seats expiring; staff to publish openings Oct. 15

At the Sept. 8 meeting commission staff said four commissioner seats — positions 4, 5, 6 and 7 — will expire Dec. 31, 2025. Staff said the typical process is to ask incumbents whether they wish to remain interested before releasing the public call for applications. Staff told commissioners the public announcement for open seats is scheduled for release on Oct. 15, 2025. Commissioners who want to remain in their positions were asked to notify staff; staff also said they will reach out individually to commissioners whose seats will expire. Staff said they plan to coordinate communication and timing with other boards and commissions and will return with more detail as needed. No appointments were made at the Sept. 8 meeting.
