County administrative staff told the board that BoardDocs’ parent company, Diligent, is developing a new platform referenced in remarks as both “Community” and “Communicate,” and that all BoardDocs users will be migrated to the new platform. Staff said the new system is functionally similar but offers more aesthetic and layout options, and that posting users will see differences primarily on the administrative backend.
Staff reported about a month of training sessions with Diligent so far and said the county is targeting a group migration in September–October. The county aims for the October 21 meeting to be the first full meeting using the new platform; staff said they would schedule training and provide account-activation emails to individual county email addresses. Staff also said they would bring slides to next month’s meeting to preview the new platform for board members.
No board vote was required; the update was informational and staff committed to training and account setup plans. Separately in general business the meeting included routine administrative notices: a county golf tournament scheduled for Sept. 15, and the board set its next meeting for Sept. 16.
