Oldsmar approves amended TECO easement for electrical service to new WRF control building

The council authorized the city manager to execute an amended easement with Tampa Electric Company (TECO) to provide electrical service to the new control building at the Oldsmar Water Reclamation Facility. Staff explained TECO has an existing easement for the old control building and the amended agreement will extend rights for construction, operations and maintenance to the proposed service alignment for the new structure. The easement language was reviewed by the city attorney; staff recommended approval and the council approved the agreement by voice vote. A council member noted the new building’s roof is in place and complimented progress on the project. The easement gives TECO standard ingress/egress and maintenance rights and will be recorded in connection with the project.
