Dustin Risma, asset manager director for Beyond Shelter, presented a video to the Human Rights Commission showing residents describing the housing as stabilizing and community-focused. In the video a resident said, "I really love the apartment I'm in now... it's because it's I have the extra room where I do my puzzles." Another resident described a community room, activities calendar and daily coffee gatherings that help build social support. Risma said the organization's mission is to develop housing "for those most in need" and to allow seniors and families to age in place. Commissioners responded positively and offered partnership interest; no formal motion or funding request followed the presentation.
