Commission on School Accreditation elects Pamela Manners chair, Carla Evers vice chair

The Mississippi Commission on School Accreditation on Sept. 18, 2025, elected Pamela Manners to serve as chair and Carla Evers to serve as vice chair for the 2025–26 year, voting by voice during a teleconference meeting held from Jackson. The commission opened nominations, and Jeremy Hamm nominated Manners; Brad Stevens seconded the nomination. The commission then voted by voice and the motion carried. For vice chair, a nomination was made and accepted by Carla Evers; members recorded their support by voice and the motion carried. The commission followed its policy requiring an annual election of chair and vice chair. The nominations and votes were recorded verbally during roll call and are part of the meeting minutes. The meeting continued with approvals of minutes and subsequent agenda items.
