Davenport park advisory council re-elects leadership slate; vote recorded by roll call

The Davenport Park and Recreation Advisory Council voted unanimously at its September meeting to approve the slate of officers recommended at the August meeting and recorded the roll-call vote. The slate approved included Wendy Peterson as chair, Mike Schertz as vice chair, Bridal Sharif as secretary and Chris Meyer as the council's Riverfront Improvement Commission representative. Council members moved and seconded the motion and the chair called a roll-call vote to comply with bylaws. The roll-call recorded affirmative votes from Bartling, Koiner, Dassow, Keith Faber, Meyer, Peterson, Shirts and Sharif; no abstentions were reported. The council moved on to subsequent agenda items after the vote. The approval formalizes the leadership team for the advisory council's next term and allows officers to fulfill duties including steering committee work and representing the advisory council on related city commissions.
