The Township of Washington Council on Sept. 22 voted to authorize cancellation of current and future property tax liability for a property owned by a U.S. veteran with a permanent disability and to authorize a refund of overpaid taxes not to exceed $917.81.

The action was listed as Resolution No. 25-314 on the agenda and was adopted by roll-call vote. No public comment was taken on the item during the meeting.

The resolution directs municipal tax and finance staff to implement the cancellation and refund in accordance with applicable procedures.
