Representatives for Crow Holdings presented a replat for a portion of land associated with the Murphy Road Planned Development District previously approved by council.
Corey Driscoll, representing Crow Holdings, said the project has been in planning for roughly two years, that plans and contractor procurement are complete, and that the replat is a ministerial step to allow site work and building permits to proceed. "This project's been going on close to 2 years. We've spent considerable time and ... money to get to this point," Driscoll told council during a public hearing.
Council discussed that the planning and zoning commission had recommended against approval at a recent meeting; legal counsel and staff reminded members that the replat is limited by state and local platting rules and that options are approve, approve with conditions that remedy technical deficiencies, or disapprove with legally articulated reasons. After receiving public comment and the developer's presentation, the council voted to approve the replat. Council directed staff to continue the administrative steps needed for permits and building to proceed.
