Trustees were updated that Imperial County Environmental Health Services has moved into adjacent space near the ISERs building, bringing an estimated 20–30 staff on site daily and as many as 50 people in and out during peak periods. Trustees said the increase has created parking pressure and that management has reallocated the eastern side of the lot to the new tenants while designating the western side for ISERs staff.
The retirement administrator said the new tenants have been “great tenants” and that issues such as parking are being addressed. He said security patrols continue to conduct multiple daily checks and that staff removed a large encampment under the parking shade that morning with law‑enforcement assistance.
Trustees were asked to plan for the ISERs annual employee luncheon on Nov. 5, and staff said designated parking for trustees remains limited and street parking is available when lot capacity is reached.
