Commission to consider special exception to add kindergarten class at 7720 Kimberly Boulevard

City staff presented a request to the commission to allow an educational institution (a single kindergarten classroom) at 7720 Kimberly Boulevard, a freestanding building next to the Community Activity Center now called the ABC Facility Center.

The community development director said the building is approximately 4,758 square feet and currently serves as a daycare center with a licensed capacity of about 155 children for the entire facility. The new owner requests conversion of one classroom to a kindergarten class so students can remain on site. Hours listed in staff materials are 7AM to 6PM. The property has 12 parking spaces.
