The Public Health, Safety and Transportation Committee approved the minutes from its Aug. 26, 2025, meeting during a brief session convened Oct. 14, 2025, at 4:00 a.m., committee members said.

Committee members said the meeting was called solely to meet a requirement that minutes be approved within 30 days of the prior meeting. "There's a 30 day rule that from the last meeting you have to approve the minutes within 30 days," Alderman Franco said, explaining why the committee met only to act on minutes.

Alderman Smith moved to approve agenda item 25-0691, the minutes of the Public Health, Safety and Transportation Committee meeting held Aug. 26, 2025; Alderman Seville seconded the motion. Committee members present — Alderman Smith, Alderman Bug, Alderman Nunez, Alderman Seville and Alderman Franco — voiced their approval when the chair called for "aye," and the motion passed by voice vote. The committee adjourned at 4:01 a.m.

No other substantive business was taken up at the Oct. 14 session.
