The City of Post Falls Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to postpone the public hearing on the McGuire annexation, file ANX-25-4, to Nov. 12, 2025. The commission made the change after commissioners said they wanted to ensure a quorum and verify there were no conflicts before holding the public hearing.
A commissioner moved “to postpone the Maguire annexation file ANX‑25‑4 to a date certain, which would be 11/12/2025,” and another commissioner seconded the motion. The commission approved the postponement by roll call: Slatower, Schreiber, Wilhelm, Schottauer and Kimball all voted yes. The chair apologized to members of the public who had come for the hearing and said the item would be rescheduled so the commission could confirm quorum and conflicts of interest.
The postponement was made as part of the opening portion of the meeting, before the commission took other business. Commissioners did not take testimony on the annexation at the session; the hearing will be held on the rescheduled date. The agenda item was listed as “McGuire annexation, file ANX‑25‑4.”
