PUEBLO WEST, Colo.
Staff presented amended sale contracts for two district properties and briefed the Board of Directors on edits made to address legal and board questions.
Economic Support Specialist Marcus Reyes said he and legal counsel reviewed the contract for 868 East Industrial line by line, made corrections and presented both a clean copy and a redlined/highlighted copy to the board. The buyer is represented by a real-estate agent; staff said negotiations clarified that water-variance matters are not included in the sale and will be addressed separately.
Staff also described an offer from Westover Homes LLC for residential lots. Reyes said he initially showed the buyer eight lots; the parties negotiated pricing that varied with the number of lots purchased and returned a counteroffer providing lower per-lot pricing if more lots were purchased. The contracts were prepared with input from legal, and staff indicated the versions in the packet reflect requested changes.
No final vote was taken during the work session; staff said the revised contract documents and the highlighted changes were provided for board review before any action on the sale.
