School accreditation plan types: District staff summarized Colorado’s accreditation categories and recommended plan types for individual schools. District and school unified improvement plans: The board approved the district unified improvement plan (UIP) and the school UIPs as presented. Staff described three major improvement strategies in the district UIP: (1) aligned, differentiated Tier 1 instruction; (2) a comprehensive MTSS system for academic and behavioral supports; and (3) family and community engagement to improve belonging and equity.
