The Lynn Haven City Commission heard a staff introduction of Jennifer Boyer, the city’s new planning and development director, at the precommission meeting. Boyer said she started Sept. 10 and has about 20 years of planning and community‑development experience in local government.

“My name is Jennifer Boyer … I’ve been doing planning and community development type work for about the last 20 years,” Boyer said, describing experience at municipal and county levels. She told commissioners she plans to review the city’s comprehensive plan and the unified land‑development code and expects to seek public input on revised language in 2026.

Commissioners welcomed Boyer; one commissioner asked whether she had experience revamping comprehensive plans and land‑use codes, and Boyer replied she did and is already making notes to prepare draft language for public review.

Staff also introduced Corey Bracey as the city’s procurement manager; staff said Bracey will handle procurements and contracts and will appear at meetings when bids or contract awards are presented.
