A Friends of the Library representative reported July revenue of $958.78 and said the group exceeded its $500 monthly goal. The group held an audiobook sale on July 26 that produced $83 and sold 166 books at that event, the representative said.

The Friends are preparing for a large book sale Sept. 11–13. Volunteers will set up on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and Thursday, Sept. 11, with signups shared via an online signup link. The Friends asked board members to help alphabetize, staff cashiers and assist with setup; staffing shortages at the library this summer mean volunteer help is particularly valuable, the representative added.

The Friends will also offer a silent auction option at the municipal firehouse for higher‑value items, and are coordinating with the library to feature some Friends items at the library’s display table. The representative asked board members to post flyers and to help publicize the sale; a membership preview was noted as part of the event timeline.
