The Farmers Branch Senior Center reported reopening in May 2025 and growth in membership and program participation, including 1,440 active members, a 15% rise in membership and a 13% increase in program participation; the center's net promoter score was reported at 83.
The Farmers Branch Senior Center told its advisory board Thursday that membership and program participation have increased since the center reopened in May 2025.
"Since we reopened our programming has increased. We now serve over 1,440 active members, and we have over a 15% increase from our previous year," a staff member told the board, adding that program participation has risen about 13% and the center's net promoter score is 83.
Board members reviewed the year-end materials and were asked to submit any suggested edits to the year-in-review by Oct. 10, 2025. The report includes attendance and participation graphs and lists of member volunteer activities with local partners such as the Farmers Branch Fire Department, Farmers Branch Police Department and Metro Crest Services.
Board members noted some roster corrections (duplicate listings for members) and a short-term dip in attendance tied to one member's illness; staff said they would update the report and redistribute it. The year-in-review will be presented to City Council at the council's Nov. 18 meeting as part of the boards'year-end schedule.
The board did not take additional formal action on the report at the meeting.
