The California Board of Accountancy voted to accept the retirement of Qualification Committee member Michael Williams, CPA, and approved multiple committee appointments and reappointments during its Sept. 19 meeting.

President Yen Tu asked for a motion to accept the retirement of Michael Williams; a board member moved and another seconded. The board recorded a unanimous roll-call vote in favor of accepting the retirement.

On appointments and reappointments, the board voted to reappoint Jeffrey Delizer, CPA, to the Enforcement Advisory Committee through Sept. 30, 2027. The Enforcement Advisory Committee assists the board by reviewing closed investigation files, providing technical guidance on open investigations and participating in investigative hearings. The board also approved reappointments of Jeffrey Delizer, Fausto Hinojosa, and Nick Peterson, and the appointment of Vikram Deshpande to the Peer Review Oversight Committee; the roll-call vote for that item was unanimous.

No public comments were received on the items. Staff confirmed that nominees met licensing and renewal requirements before the board took action.
