Angela Andrews, assistant principal at Elmwood Park High School, announced an open house for families on Tuesday, Sept. 9, beginning with a welcome session in the auditorium at 5 p.m. followed by rotating class periods from 5:30 to 7:25 p.m.
"We're excited to welcome you to our school's open house on Tuesday, September 9. The evening kicks off in the auditorium at 5PM with a short welcome session, followed by rotating through your students' class schedule from 05:30 to 07:25," Andrews said. "This year, we'll also have Tiger's Den childcare available in the library, so you can explore the building worry free."
The event is organized so families can follow their students' daily schedules and meet teachers during each period. Andrews said families should bring the postcard they received in the mail to serve as an entry ticket for a grand prize raffle; a $100 Jewel-Osco gift card is listed among the prizes. Additional raffle tickets will be available during each class period.
Andrews also urged families to visit the cafeteria during their students' lunch period to connect with Tiger team members. "Don't forget to visit the cafeteria during your students' lunch period to connect with their Tiger team members. We can't wait to see you there," she said.
The announcement provided times, location within the school, childcare arrangements and the raffle process. No decisions, votes or formal district actions were discussed during the announcement.
