Pasta and Pops fundraiser at Waukegan campus supports student musicians, district says

Nicholas Altsakis, director of communications for Waukegan Public Schools, described the district's annual Pasta and Pops dinner as a community fundraiser that benefits student musicians. "Proceeds from Pasta and Pops directly support our music students through equipment, travel opportunities, and scholarships," Altsakis said.

Altsakis said families and community members attended the event at the Brookside campus and enjoyed performances by orchestras, choirs and bands. He thanked parents, staff, students and community sponsors "for making this year's Pasta and Pops a night to remember and for supporting our talented student musicians," and said the event helps fund equipment purchases and student opportunities.
