The Board of Public Works and Safety on Oct. 1 approved pay estimate No. 2 for the Cutler Park restroom building renovation, authorizing payment of $73,026.19 to Hearne Construction Inc. Darren Metz, traffic systems manager, presented the quantity breakdown and said the pay estimate reflects construction quantities completed from Aug. 30 through Sept. 26. Metz said the total for pay estimate No. 2 is $75,284.73 with $2,258.54 retained, yielding a net payment of $73,026.19. He said the original contract was $162,975 and contract modification No. 1 added $15,525, producing an adjusted contract amount of $178,500. A board member moved to approve the pay estimate; the motion was seconded and approved.
