The Evansville Loan Administration Board is gearing up for a busy 2025, with plans to collaborate closely with the Economic Development Administration (EDA) on a new community economic development strategy. During a recent meeting, board members discussed the importance of integrating EDA priorities into their upcoming plan, which is due in July 2025.
The board emphasized the need to start working on this plan early in the year, with one member committing to send out electronic copies of the current plan for review. This proactive approach aims to ensure that the board aligns its goals with those of the EDA, which has been instrumental in funding local loans.
Additionally, board members were reminded to sign up for their positions for the next year, as these nominations will be announced by the city and county council. The chairperson assured members that if there are no applications or other business, they would be notified at least two weeks in advance if meetings need to be canceled.
This strategic planning and collaboration signal a focused effort by the Loan Administration Board to enhance economic development in Evansville, setting the stage for a productive year ahead.
