In a recent meeting held on July 1, 2025, the Kosciusko County Commissioners made significant strides in enhancing local public transportation and community infrastructure. A key decision was the approval of a fare increase for the county's public transit system, aimed at improving financial stability and service quality.

The fare adjustment, which has not been implemented in a long time, is designed to alleviate reliance on external funding sources while ensuring the sustainability of transit services. Officials emphasized that while the fare increase will not cover all funding needs, it is a necessary step toward maintaining operational stability. To support riders during this transition, a discounted multi-bus pass will be introduced, and the new deviated fixed route in Warsaw will continue to offer rides at just $1 each.

The Commissioners approved payments for invoices related to the Chinworth Bridge Extension Trail, which is currently under construction and expected to be completed by September. They also approved the final invoice for the countywide trails master plan, ensuring that the community continues to develop its recreational pathways.
