The space, now divided into two retail areas, is set to welcome Burlington, a popular retail chain, which is seeking approval for its storefront design.

Burlington's proposal includes the use of Nichiha fiber cement and a custom red color with EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) accents. While these materials do not conform to the existing exterior building requirements for the district, city codes allow for exceptions during site plan reviews, particularly when maintaining a corporate identity is essential for tenants.

During the meeting, representatives from Burlington presented samples of the proposed materials, emphasizing their durability and quality. Bill Applebaum from GJ Gruy, who spoke on behalf of Burlington, reassured the committee that the design aligns with Burlington's prototypical look, which is crucial for the brand's market presence.
