A groundbreaking dual-branded hotel development is set to transform Corpus Christi's hospitality landscape, marking the first hotel construction in nearly half a century. The ambitious project, featuring a Marriott Courtyard and a Residence Inn, aims to provide a much-needed boost to the local economy and tourism sector.

City Council members highlighted the significance of this development during their recent meeting, emphasizing the lack of hotel options in the area for the past 40 to 50 years. The new facility will include a 9,200-square-foot conference center, capable of hosting a variety of events, from budget workshops to weddings, accommodating up to 500 guests. This versatile space is expected to attract both local residents and visitors, enhancing the city’s appeal as a destination for events and gatherings.

In addition to the conference center, the hotel will feature a restaurant and bar open to the public, further integrating the facility into the community. An overflow parking lot will also be available, providing convenient access for those visiting the island for dining and entertainment.

With 107 rooms in the Courtyard and additional accommodations in the Residence Inn, this development is poised to cater to a diverse range of guests, from business travelers to families seeking a getaway.
