The foundation's commitment includes a three-to-one match on funds raised, allowing schools to tailor their after-school offerings to meet student needs effectively.

During the recent Board of Education meeting held on September 4, 2025, discussions highlighted the importance of community engagement in fundraising efforts. Events such as the upcoming fall author event featuring naturalist Sy Montgomery and a recent Raptors Night are designed to foster community involvement while generating necessary funds for educational programs.

The meeting also addressed the Kind Fund, which assists students in need of school clothing, particularly those from families facing domestic challenges. Administrators and counselors are encouraged to guide families in accessing these resources, ensuring that students have the essentials to succeed in school.

In addition to these initiatives, the board acknowledged the contributions of outgoing members and welcomed new directors, including Kelly Belknap and Tanner Bickley. The transition in leadership aims to continue the district's mission of supporting student success and addressing basic needs.
