Antique Alley, a beloved annual event in Johnson County, Texas, is set to expand its reach as it welcomes Hillsborough and May Pearl into its fold. The announcement came during a recent meeting where local leaders celebrated the event's growth since its inception in 1999.

Nader Redmond, one of the original founders, highlighted how Antique Alley began as a grassroots effort for locals to sell various items, from yard sale treasures to larger goods like trailers and boats. Over the years, it has transformed into a significant tourism attraction for the region, drawing visitors from across the state.

Tiffany Baron, the Main Street Manager for Hillsborough, expressed her excitement about hosting the event, noting her family's long-standing participation. Vanessa Friend, President of the May Pearl Chamber of Commerce, echoed this enthusiasm, emphasizing the positive impact the event has had on their community.

The meeting also featured representatives from Grandview, including Christie Mower, who praised the collaboration among local businesses and chambers. Shannon Mitchell, a newcomer to Cleburne, pointed out that the event fosters a spirit of cooperation among competitors, enhancing the overall experience for attendees.

Mayor Pro Tem Mary Sarver of Grandview commended the efforts of the volunteers who have contributed to the event's success over the years. She emphasized the importance of Antique Alley in uniting communities across Johnson County and beyond.
