The event not only enhances foot traffic but also supports local businesses, hotels, and restaurants, making it a vital part of the region's economy.
The proclamation also addressed safety measures, with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and Texas Department of Public Safety ensuring safe driving conditions during the busy weekend. TxDOT reminded attendees about parking regulations to maintain safety on state highways.
