The City Commission of Livingston is making significant strides in the development of a new Wellness Center at Katy Bunnell Park, located at the intersection of North N and Gallatin Streets. This project, which was approved in the summer of 2023, aims to enhance community health and recreational opportunities.

Key features of the Wellness Center include a spacious building, accessible parking, and outdoor amenities such as basketball courts. The parking area will be primarily accessed from Gallatin Street and will include designated spots for electric vehicle charging. Notably, the parking lot is situated on land owned by BNSF Railway, which has collaborated with the city to facilitate this project.

Excitingly, the city is also looking to expand Katy Bunnell Park from its current 1.7 acres to nearly 5 acres by acquiring additional parcels of land from BNSF and Northwestern Energy. This expansion will allow for more recreational facilities, including a potential full-size sports field, although the design is still pending public input.
