Transit Leaders Leslie Beninfield and Bobby Lee named to Mass Transit Magazine's 40 Under 40

In a recent meeting of the San Francisco transit agency, Director Kirschbaum highlighted significant staff achievements and updates on operational changes that directly impact the community. Notably, two agency employees, Leslie Beninfield and Bobby Lee, were recognized by Mass Transit Magazine as part of its prestigious "40 Under 40" list, celebrating their contributions to transit operations and livable streets projects. While most employees have been working in-person throughout the pandemic, a hybrid schedule was previously in place for some office staff. As of August 18, city staff on hybrid schedules are now required to return to the office four days a week. Kirschbaum expressed optimism about the renewed energy in the office, particularly at OneSoft Van Ness, where staff have been encouraged to show agency pride through initiatives like wearing Muni gear.
