The 154th Austin Police Academy Graduation Ceremony took place on August 29, 2025, celebrating the achievements of 35 new police officers. The keynote speaker for the event was Chief Matthew Greer, who has a long history with the Austin Police Department and currently serves as the Chief of Police for Eanes Independent School District. His career highlights included various leadership roles within the APD, culminating in his retirement in 2019.
