This initiative, supported by a $200,000 investment from various landscaping companies and a $120,000 contribution from Ace Hardware and Steel, has significantly bolstered the landscaping community, providing over half a million dollars worth of equipment this year alone.

Additionally, the Engines Off program has allocated over $500,000 in grants for more than 45 projects aimed at reducing emissions. This includes funding for micro mobile businesses, such as food trucks, to transition from gas to electric power. The program has also seen success in recycling gas generators and providing financial support through private matches.

The Clean Air Auto Repair initiative reported over 80 vehicle repairs this year, with a total investment exceeding $300,000. The most common repairs involved Ford and Chevy vehicles, with catalytic converters and oxygen sensors being the primary issues addressed.

Looking ahead, the board announced the upcoming Clean Air Champions Award ceremony, scheduled for September 16 at the Denver Performing Arts Center. This event will recognize individuals and organizations making significant contributions to air quality improvement. Nominations for the awards are still open, inviting community members to highlight deserving candidates.
