Hartford Councilman Gail Proposes Revitalization of Sister Cities Program with Jamaica

The City of Hartford's LEWY Committee convened on August 27, 2025, to discuss the revitalization of its Sister Cities program, which aims to foster international relationships and cultural exchanges. The committee aims to hold its first official meeting by March 2026, coinciding with the celebration of Hartford's sister city relationship with New Ross, Ireland.

The committee unanimously voted to recommend the resolution for reestablishing the Sister Cities program to the full council, marking a significant step towards enhancing Hartford's global connections and cultural vibrancy.
