Council Approves 4.5 Percent Property Tax Increase During 2025 Primary Election Meeting

North Ogden City Council has approved a 4.5% property tax increase during their recent meeting, a decision expected to impact local funding and services. The council unanimously voted in favor of the increase, which translates to a rate of 0.001363. This move aims to bolster the city’s budget and enhance community services.

The discussion leading to the vote involved calculations and confirmations among council members, ensuring clarity on the proposed tax rate. City Recorder Bridal Santoro reported that 4,020 votes were cast, representing a 31% voter turnout from the 12,834 ballots mailed.
