Commission Approves 15-Minute Parking on Broadway to Support Local Businesses

The Revere Traffic Commission made significant strides in improving local parking regulations during their meeting on August 25, 2025. The commission unanimously approved a new 15-minute parking zone on Broadway, aimed at boosting business turnover in the area.

The decision came after discussions highlighted the need for quick parking options to support local businesses. "I think it's a good idea, especially with those businesses down there for a quick turnover so they don't lose business," one commissioner noted, emphasizing the importance of accessible parking for shoppers and visitors.

The new parking restriction will be in effect from 7 AM to 5 PM, seven days a week, and is designed to prevent long-term parking that could hinder business operations. The commission confirmed that the necessary signage is already in place, streamlining the implementation process.

In addition to the Broadway changes, the commission also addressed other parking matters, but the focus remained on the positive impact of the new 15-minute parking rule.
