Holland Launches Community Recovery Center with Enhanced Support Services

The Ottawa County Community Mental Health and Substance Use Services (CMHOC) Board Meeting on August 22, 2025, highlighted significant advancements in local support systems for individuals facing substance use challenges. A key focus of the meeting was the ongoing efforts to provide intensive, community-based services aimed at addressing the psychosocial stressors that many residents experience, including homelessness and co-occurring mental health issues.

The CMHOC has trained 95% of its staff in overdose prevention and is actively involved in community outreach to raise awareness about treatment options. A Recovery Fest event is scheduled for September 11, 2025, at the Holland Civic Center, aimed at celebrating recovery and connecting individuals with resources.
