The upcoming Rio Grande Honor Flight is set to take off on September 25, 2025, at approximately 6:15 AM from El Paso International Airport, marking a significant event for local veterans. This flight will honor Vietnam and Korean War veterans, providing them with a chance to visit the memorials dedicated to their service in Washington, D.C.

The Honor Flight program aims to give these veterans the recognition they deserve, especially as many did not receive a proper welcome home after their service. Upon their return on September 27 at around 4 PM, the community is encouraged to participate in a heartfelt welcome home ceremony, celebrating their sacrifices and contributions.
