A significant milestone for Tamarac was announced during the recent government workshop, as the city prepares for a crucial transmittal hearing on May 14. The Cordena Group will present a comprehensive plan that is set to be reviewed by the commission, marking a pivotal step in the city's development process.

City officials emphasized the importance of public input, noting that comments will be solicited from various local partners, including neighboring cities and state agencies. The plan will be shared with Sunrise, Lauderhill, Lauderdale Lakes, and Broward County, among others, allowing a 30-day window for feedback. This collaborative approach aims to ensure that all stakeholders have a voice in shaping the future of Tamarac.

Once the comments are collected and addressed by the city’s consultants, the plan will be placed on the city commission agenda for adoption, anticipated either before the July recess or shortly after the commission reconvenes in August.
