The event, a culmination of hard work and creativity, featured a thrilling mystery challenge with a staggering cash prize of $200 million, as declared by the fictional character Sam Westing.

BiblioTech staff, led by Carlos Salceda and his outreach team, were recognized for their tireless efforts in organizing this major programming event. Dan Bail, CEO of Alamo Film Group, also took the stage to highlight the partnership with BiblioTech, emphasizing their shared mission to promote filmmaking in San Antonio and support youth education in the arts.

In addition to the excitement surrounding the Westing Game, the meeting also announced the winners of the Round 2 Slim Down Showdown, a wellness challenge aimed at encouraging healthy lifestyle changes among Bexar County employees. Nicole Hall, the Bexar County wellness program manager, reported impressive participation, with 678 employees collectively losing 2,875 pounds over the 12-week challenge.

Winners were awarded prizes to HEB, with Kirsten Herrera and Nicholas LaPointe taking home the top prize of $400. Hall expressed gratitude to the volunteers who made the program possible and invited all participants to a celebration event to further promote health and wellness within the community.
