The council also emphasized the importance of collaboration with the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). Plans are underway for a master plan in the area west of the university, which includes the potential development of a performing arts center. A completed plan was recently presented to the urban board, marking a significant step forward in this partnership.

Moreover, the council is addressing public safety needs by constructing a new radio tower off-site, allowing UCO to repurpose its campus space.
