One resident praised their commitment, saying, "You've cleaned my teeth hundreds of times... I hope you can do another 34 with us." The council also honored the Laredo 7U All-Stars for their remarkable victory as the 2025 Pony South Zone Pinto 7 World Series champions. Mayor and council members congratulated the young athletes, emphasizing their role in putting Laredo on the map. Head coach Alejandro shared the team's journey, noting their impressive performance: "We allowed a total of 6 runs in 5 games... they showed a lot of heart."
