Patti Love was honored for her 20 years of service to TCEQ, having started her career in February 2005. She has served as an executive assistant since April 2013 and was instrumental in launching the TCEQ mentoring program, which has had a lasting impact on the agency. Her colleagues expressed deep appreciation for her contributions, noting that her presence will be greatly missed.

Kathy Humphrey's retirement was also acknowledged, although a formal proclamation was not available due to the recent announcement of her departure. Kathy began her career with the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC) in October 1998 and has worked extensively in the environmental laboratory sector. She pursued a law degree to specialize in environmental law and has contributed to various programs, including the environmental laboratory accreditation program and the Edwards Aquifer Program. Kathy expressed gratitude for the mentors and friends she has made during her tenure.

Additionally, John Mentor, a staff attorney for the Office of Legal Services, was recognized for his critical legal support in air quality programs since joining TCEQ in 2002. His work has included advising on ozone and sulfur dioxide regulations and supporting the air permits division.

The meeting underscored the importance of these individuals' contributions to TCEQ and the environmental initiatives in Texas.
