Students from across St. Mary Parish were celebrated for their achievements during the Regular Board Meeting on August 14, 2025. The meeting highlighted the winners of the Red Ribbon Week art contest, recognizing talented students from various schools, including Bayou Vista Elementary, Hattie Watts, and Morgan City High School.

In a significant moment, the board honored Nicholas Adams, a vocational and agriculture teacher at Franklin High School, who received the prestigious "Teacher of Teachers" award from the Louisiana AgriScience Teachers Association.
