Kodiak Assembly Approves $75K for Discover Kodiak Tourism Marketing Contract

However, some assembly members raised concerns about the potential overlap in missions among various local organizations, including the Kodiak Economic Development Corporation and the Chamber of Commerce. Dave expressed a desire for a more consolidated approach to tourism marketing, suggesting that a larger, more efficient staff could better serve the community's needs.

The meeting also addressed updates to the borough's records retention policy. Nova, a borough clerk, outlined plans to digitize records to alleviate space constraints and improve accessibility. The assembly discussed the importance of maintaining secure access to sensitive legal documents while transitioning to electronic storage.
