Health Service Board hears public comments on Kaiser and Blue Shield policies

He expressed confusion over the availability of this service and urged Kaiser representatives to clarify this during their upcoming presentation.

Another caller, Donor Coleman, a retired school psychologist, shared his frustrations regarding the transition from United Healthcare to Blue Shield California. He detailed numerous challenges he faced with claims processing, particularly for overseas members. Coleman requested that the board identify a supervisory contact at Blue Shield to address these ongoing issues, emphasizing the need for specialized support for members living abroad.

Fred Sanchez from Protect Our Benefits also contributed to the discussion, thanking those involved in resolving issues related to the University of California system and Blue Shield, indicating a collaborative effort to improve healthcare services.
