The Oro Valley Town Council held a regular session on August 13, 2025, where key discussions included personnel matters and upcoming community events. All seven council members were present for the meeting, which began with an executive session focused on the annual performance review of the town manager. Following the session, the council unanimously approved directions to the town attorney and necessary staff regarding this review.

During the meeting, Vice Mayor Barrett announced upcoming meetings, including a Budget and Finance Commission meeting scheduled for August 19. However, the Stormwater Utility Commission meeting on August 21 and the Board of Adjustment meeting on August 26 were both canceled.

Councilmember Green reported on a recent event at the auxiliary police station, where council members participated in a training exercise aimed at enhancing emergency communication skills. This event is set to become an annual occurrence.

Additionally, Councilmember Murphy recognized several notable retirements within the town's staff, including Tobin Bridal, the legal director with 35 years of service, and Margie Adler, the economic development program manager who significantly contributed to local businesses. Officer Mike Kleinberg from the police department, known for his community involvement, also retired after nearly 20 years.

The council also celebrated the success of Indigo Golf, managed by Daryl Jan, which saw nearly 120,000 rounds of golf played in the community over the past year, a significant increase from previous years.
